After the launch of our new site back in December, a few of you pointed out that we had removed an easy way to compare snow totals over multiple days between multiple resorts. Now, it’s back and better than before!
Now OpenSnow All-Access subscribers can compare the last 10 days of snowfall totals between mountains on any comparision page (favorites, passes, states, regions) via the “Snowfall History” tab. You can also choose to view the totals as a summary, graph, or table, just like our forecasts.

No longer are you stuck between having ºC or inches (looking specifically at you UK users). We now offer 4 different unit options on the site: US, Canada, UK, and International!
Snow Report Date Highlighting
We used to let you know when snow reports were old by highlighting them once they reached 24 hours old. However, many of you noted that it was confusing in the morning when a report could be 23 hours old. Now reports will be flagged if they’re not from the same calendar day. Now you’ll be able to see at a glance all of the reports that have/have not come in yet in the morning!
Over the past few weeks we have recieved some reports that Comcast.net email addresses have not had their Daily Snow and snow alerts delivered.
We are currently getting in contact with Comcast to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Below is a note that we received from another user:
“”Today I contacted Comcast about the recent lack of delivery of the Daily Snow to my inbox.
After talking with a few people, I finally found out that the Daily Snow had been placed on Comcast’s spam list and thus automatically was not sent to my inbox or even to my junk mail box. It’s not clear why Comcast chose to start classifying the Daily Snow as spam except that maybe their system thought a daily e-mail must be from a spammer.
I have resolved the situation by turning-off the spam-filtering option on my account.
But when I asked for a more satisfactory solution, the Comcast rep checked with their IT people and informed me there is no way for Comcast or me to take the Daily Snow off my spam list.
I expressed a complaint and asked them to notify me when they have figured out how to remove a sender from a spam list.”
